Challenge

Ritual’s primary objective was to align its internal transparency with the external transparency it offers to customers. This involved reevaluating and benchmarking its total compensation and benefits package to ensure it is progressive and competitive.

Ritual partnered with Sequoia to transform its approach to employee benefits and compensation. The collaboration began with a thorough benchmarking of Ritual’s existing offerings, followed by strategic enhancements to align with industry leaders. Phase One: Benefits Reevaluation

Sequoia conducted a detailed analysis of Ritual’s benefits offerings, comparing them against industry benchmarks. This phase focused on identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, ensuring Ritual’s benefits were both competitive and aligned with its values. Together, they closely evaluated the quality of the benefit offerings, health care providers, and employer/employee contributions.

Phase Two: Total Compensation Benchmarking

With Sequoia’s guidance, Ritual also embarked on a total compensation analysis. This involved a deep dive into compensation philosophy, leveling guides, compensation bands, and more. The partnership with Sequoia led to significant improvements in Ritual’s total compensation and benefits strategy:

This change was supported by benchmarking data, allowing Ritual to make informed decisions that benefited its workforce while also staying within the company budget.
  • Transparent Compensation Strategy: Sequoia’s data-driven approach to Ritual’s compensation analysis is empowering employees with knowledge and trust that they’re being compensated fairly. With the results, leadership can also feel confident that their new philosophy is scalable for long-term growth.
