HR / Recruiting Manager

Sequoia Benefits (www.sequoia.com) seeks to hire a HR/Recruiting Manager to attract and retain top talent as well as manage the internal Human Resource needs for our growing, team oriented Company. This position will require an individual to act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all Recruiting and Human Resources activities.
Recruitment Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute hands on recruitment programs and associated processes that relate to sourcing, interviewing, testing, selecting, on-boarding and training external candidates.
- Actively source and identify qualified candidates through a variety of recruitment vehicles including traditional head hunting, cold calling, industry networking, internet job boards and local alumni organizations.
- Prescreen resumes, coordinate and conduct interviews with candidates via telephone and face to face using behavioral interviewing techniques and methods.
- Cultivate interest in open positions and the Company by selling the dynamic team culture, benefits and unique opportunity of a position.
- Manage and drive the team panel interview process and ensure participants are effective interviewers.
- Conduct pre-employment activities including candidate reference checks, offer development, presentation and negotiation.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the new hire on-boarding process and training programs.
- Assist with developing effective employee development, succession planning and training programs.
- Function as a strategic advisor of the management team and participate in annual planning and performance management for the Company.
- Employee relations.
- Benefits Administration in partnership with the Finance Manager.
- Project management as delegated by the President.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of combined experience in Full Cycle Recruiting and Human Resources
- Knowledgeable of CA employment and labor laws and hiring best practices
- Solutions-oriented team player who demonstrates integrity in all interactions
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships through flexibility and teamwork
- Energetic, positive, engaging and approachable demeanor
- Strong written/oral communication skills
- Project and planning oriented, highly organized
- Self-starter who values personal accountability
- Bachelors Degree required
